The urge came up to write this out, so here goes:

Druid: Transform into animals in order to kill other animals. You know, to "maintain the balance of nature."

Shaman: Throw little sticks in the ground to do the heavy lifting.

Hunter: Send your tamed pet out to get killed and hope that Warrior doesn't run straight at you.

Mage: Run around dangerous battlefields wearing only cloth and use energies that twist the minds and bodies of longer-lived races.

Paladin: Wear heavy armor, heal and buff people, and throw up a shield when the other player thinks they're about to win.

Priest: Much the same as Mage, only less offensive ability, but better healing than Paladins.

Rogue: Go invisible. Stun, stab, and poison, then run away and hide if you mess up.

Warlock: Same as Hunter, only with demons. Also, if anyone with a big sword and heavy armor so much as looks at you, you use fear.

Warrior: Run up. Stab. Rend, tear, hamstring, and execute. Keep off cloth-wearers. Hope the cloth-wearers remember that your being alive keeps them that way.

Simple and concise.

You'll have to add Death Knight when Wrath of the Lich king is released though, even if it is a hero class.

It's like this:

Rogues are scissors.

Warriors are rock.

Everything else is paper

Paper beats rock, scissors beats paper. Scissors also happen to beat rock,
Until rock hits 70 and becomes an unstoppable killing machine, and beats paper. It could also beat scissors, but it can't find scissors, because scissors are invisible.

And remember,

Paladins do it Aurally,

Rogues do it from behind,

And hunters do it with their pets.

Warriors do double-penetration

Shamans do it with up to 4 devices at once.

Mages do it hot or cold.

Heh, so many plans for the extra ten talent points in WOTLK...

Edit: huh, that explains why my first character sig is four levels out of date. He hasn't been updated on The Armory...

Really... because people I know tell me that the shaman can kill anything five levels above it. Are they bull****ting me?

When I played a mage (which was, admittedly, a couple of years ago), my strategy in battlegrounds was basically that of a suicide bomber. I was there between levels 51 and 55, and being a wee little gnome mage, I knew that everyone would want to kill me. To take advantage of this, I would rush forward and kind of... um... explode. AoE the hell out of the Horde until they killed me. I died more than anyone else, but I was able to push their line back almost every time and freeze a lot of 'em before they got me -- nobody could resist such an easy kill :D

LOL that's like when i play Spec Ops in BF2 and strap a bunch of C4 to a truck...

The bold is truth, now stop ****ing telling me to get in the back in heal! I R tank, not a healer. And the little shield we toss up before someone wins is now crap thanks to Dispel, Mass Dispel and Hunter's Dispel shot.

Just a little tip to anyone who fights a paladin, if the ground starts to glow under you, don't stand in it.

It might also be because you can Res. They don't want you dying if the Warrior bites the dust.

So can a Priest, and unless something goes seriously wrong I don't die :D. Not saying I haven't just not when every thing is going as it should. And usually the warriors with me are arm/fury, those who refuse to tank because they want to top the damage meters. The ones who fall just under a Ret Pally in damage output lol.

Has anyone else noticed on their servers the lack of tanks and healers? On Blackwing Lair Tanks and Healers are very hard to come by now.

Arm/Fury builds are better for Soloing. Which is why a know-it-all dick of a warrior on a ZF run pissed me off friday.

Don't they all? Yeah Arms/Fury is pretty much the same as Ret for Paladins when it comes to Soloing. But may I ask what they did to piss you off?

These are the guys that get dual-wield, right?

Can't Paladins get it too? It's kinda.. you know.. unfair.. to turn a player that can heal himself into an armour-plated shredding machine.

Naaa Pally's can't duel wield weapons. Warriors, Rogues and Shaman can though.

He was in general doing bad pulls, let a major NPC mob disappear when he turned on us, and acting as if he knew how to play my character better than I did.

Dual Wield is a class ability gained access to in the 30's I believe for warriors, unless their race has them as starters.

I use 2-handers though, because I like the big hits to the target health rather than chipping away at it.

And Pallys don't have the wonderful debuffs a Warrior has, like Rend, Hamstring, Demoralizing Shout, Thunder Clap, and Sunder Armor.

We have Righteous Fury(90% additional threat generated from holy damage), Judgments, Consecration(Key to AoE tanking), Avenger Shield, Holy Shield(30% more threat from each shield block), Righteous Defense, Seal of Vengeance. All of which make the pally a perfect tank for multiple mob pulls without the need of much if any CC. Though the Warrior Debuffs make the fight go by a lot faster :D.

I love it how people just stand in it when you are in PVP. I don't know how many people have died because they just stand in the Consecration field for too long :D.

BTW I hit 70 Last night on my Pally ^^

Keep in mind the warlock is a mushroom, and it owns everything, regardless of level.

More like a warlock is a dead lifeless corpse thats more willing :O

Nah I play a hunter not a mage. In all honesty, warlocks just go SPLAT! Anymore, even on my shaman.

Personally I prefer elemental shaman. They get some decent damage over time spells, plus their totems and a decent selection of weapons. Of the hybrid classes they are my favorite.

Speaking of which my shaman just hit 40 and, with some help from my guild, I was able to get my mount. A striped frostsabre since I was able to hit exalted with Darnassus. I'm liking the elemental build, it fits my playstyle perfectly.

Question though, what's a good rogue build. My rogue alt is going to be my battlegrounds character and I'd like to actually have a shot at doing something with it. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Been a long time since I played WoW, left it for Eve a while ago but if I recall correctly the talent build used in things like world of roguecraft uses stuff from all 3 trees with a focus in assassination. Could be wrong about it but you want everything to increase your backstab, ambush, sinister strike, and eviscerate. Generally with the right build you can just drop mages and priests with a single ambush since it should just about always crit, and any other class is going to be hurting bad. Though it would help to know what level your rogue alt is for planning since the builds are different at various tiers of development.

Rogues are the easiest class to twink out to PvP with. And when things are looking bad for them? They stealth and stun you while doing even more damage.
