I cannot get on GP, I keep getting this message:


Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

Anyone else having this problem?

I seem to be unable to connect, keep getting a database connection error. I think there is just such an influx of connections due to certain recent news posts. After all with the recent issues, there are going to be a lot of people trying to get their words in.


Or some dark forces are calling for a DDoS attack on the servers.

There was a short (20-30 mins?) of downtime yesterday mid-day. Not sure what that was about, but the good ship GP seemed to right itself.

Later in the day the comments totally crashed, but we were able to run a fix on the MySQl database and it all seems good now.
