Its a cheap shot at her for sure but it carries IMO a deeper commentary over the fluff and bile in newer games, less content and options for the same or more moeny that a few years ago is starting to frustrate the outer edges of gamdom, tis hard to enjoy hobby where all the new stuff is flawed and short.
The pic in question is buried somewhere in teh digg

, if you are mature enough to handle the immature cum/bj jokes you'll see it as a cheap joke with a comment on how some games are solid to the public T&A sells be it virtual or real.
As a PR person she should damn well know that sex is a double edged sword used to sell products!

The comic isn't particularly funny, in my opinion, but it's not all that offensive either. Raymond is a public figure, so she should probably get used to such parodies.

It might have been funny if assassins creed wasn't a good game. It might be funny if the implied criticism was directed at a target that might have earned it.

at worst its a cheap shot at her and ubi at best it a off commentary on selling games with T&A.
really tho I wish more people would pick on bad games than merely mediocre ones.

If he wanted to make a commentary on T&A he had thousands of video game characters to choose from and thousands of games.
It was a cheap shot directed at one person and one person only.

SO he took some creative leince to ride the launch of a game, he's actually alil smarter than you give him credit for, he lined his ducks in a row and we all are talking about it.

IMO its no "worse" than wrongly hyping a game.

Shes been one of the major interview targets, and the games main spokesman. However I think there were only 3 interviews that were done? Most of assasins creeds stuff has been gameplay videos.
Shes also the producer, and it isn't here first role as a producer.

Again, they probably picked her to go in front of the camera largely because she's hot... and in any case, it's not like other game industry figures have never been parodied, cruelly or otherwise.

Producer eh.... well shes more PR with how she lets herself be used to sell the game, I would be interested to see what her full resume is ,computer science can be misleading sometimes but it looks to be from a good collage.

Lowtax has nothing to do with it, but Ubisoft sent him the email anyway. So yeah, he gets to act bad-assy for a while.
Listen. If you hear these things:
A. Pretty lady of the female sex (WITH BOOBS AND VAGINA OMG OMG OMG) maeks video games!
B. Going to appear naked!
Then you think Killcreek and Daikatana (Look that **** up). The comic was made before the internal Ubisoft rumour mill got the "HAI GAIS JADE IS GOING TO BE NEKKID IN MAGAZINE" thing back to Jade so she could say it wasn't true. If she HAD done this, she would have been no better than Killcreek, and the comic would have been justified. It was just done a bit early.

Please, tell me: if an unusually attractive man in the game industry got this treatment, would you react the same way? Would you be telling us "Imagine someone put your husband, boyfriend, son, brother, or father in a comic like that?" I doubt it. You'd probably laugh or ignore it.
The sheer fact that you're all rushing to defend her is pretty damn sexist in and of itself...

Maybe it's my age. But I've come to see the multitudes of attitudes that one individual can show for another.
Let's face it, I'm a heterosexual male who is attracted to beautiful women.
BUT, at the same time, I realize that being beautiful doesn't encompass the whole individual.
Ok, Jade is hot and will definitely create a number of fantasies for me. Especially after seeing the photoshop picture.
Now, about Assassin's Creed. Her beauty isn't the selling point for me. Certainly, that may have been on the minds that put Jade in the spotlight. That her beauty WAS the selling point.
I've seen the video review on GameSpot. THAT is my selling point.
Is the comic a detracting selling point? Nope. It's stupid and, in a sense, it is disrespectful to Jade (I don't do that crap "it's disrespectful to women" or other groups, that, too, is stupid). I didn't find it funny, but that's just me. I might very well be more upset if she were someone I was close to.
But, as pointed out, Public people are going to be treated like this, and many other ways. It's a downside to being Public. Will it be a negative towards her career? I can't see how. The Products for me are the selling point. Even if she had been a stripper, prostitute or appeared in Playboy (all of which tend to traditionally be career killers) wouldn't matter to me.
Should Ubi Soft not stand up for their employee and defend them? I say they should. They shouldn't expect to get what they want, but at least they will APPEAR to have a higher level of respect for Jade than what they appeared to have when they put her as the PR person (because of her looks).
After reading and viewing the Assassin Creed reviews, I'm still not quite sure if that's what I want to get when I do the big trade in of old games or not. There aren't many good ones coming out for the 360 in the next week or so that I'm interested in.
But, hey, at least I've got a beautiful picture of photoshop Jade to add to my perv folder. :D

T&A sells be it virtual or real.
As a PR person she should damn well know that sex is a double edged sword used to sell products!
True words, naturally, but I have seen loads of interviews with Jade through the years, and in none of them has she deliberately played on sex or her feminine viles to get attention. Not one.
She has, however, always been professional, eloquent, open and forthcoming, has smiled and been polite, and has, as far as I have been able to make out, always made the interviewer feel at ease with interviewing her. This type of empathic behavior is very often mistaken for flirting, but is something completely different.
As for her role as game producer, let me tell you that nowadays, this producer role is far closer to that of movie director than you might think, and incorporated into it lies a lot of PR - the press will want to talk to someone in charge of the project, a person of authority, and management will want someone as a forefigure for a project for the very same reason that a movie director is so often the forefigure for a movie. The fact that she's a beautiful woman in an industry that is still predominantly popluated by men may very well mean she's getting more attention than if she were a man.

That's almost mean, but the point is well taken. Who knows, really? Men are very seldom treated in this way, and there is that notion that they can and/or should defend themselves, regardless of whether or not they are pretty.
The comic itself, however... I've yet to make up my mind if I think is particularly good or bad. One thing is for certain, though, and that is that it is in poor taste. If you want to poke fun out of Jade's percieved booty-shaking to sell Assassins Creed to nerds, there are far more elegant ways to draw those parallels.
