It seems someone is trying to sue RMT company IGE. Just thought I would post this for something to read if you were bored.

frankly if I can get some sht in a game for a few bucks its no one business but mine and since they have these balanced to grind its even more a reason to let them since the devs can not make the game fun.

To me whats more harmful is being charged 15 a month for playing the game a whole day or week, the rate scheme is as bad as not being able to buy your way to fun through "official" means....

You could say its only your business, but lets take WoW for example. For a while you couldn't do jack **** in certain parts of the game due to the amount of bots goldfarming nonstop. It hurt the *real* players, now if people didn't buy gold, they would've gone away. Also, lets say I've played a long time and have a high level character, I'm trying to start a PUG (Pickup Group, aka finding random strangers) to do some hard dungeon, now lets say our healer *bought* his account and has no idea how the hell to play the game. Yep. Real fun there.

Also, gold selling/buying can hurt the economy and just promotes the fact that people want instant gratification. >_> If you can't deal with a grind on a game, find an easier game.
(Note - If you find WoW too hard, I will say right now you should not be playing any MMO.)

That pissed me right the **** off because I needed to mine Silver to get my mining up, but could never find any because some jagoffs kept getting to it before I did, and since I could never find any, I pretty much knew what happened to it.

As for my two cents.

I've always despised RMT in whatever MMO I've played, mostly because the guys doing the said RMT'ing were ususally some lazy halfwit who couldn't even grasp the value of honest, hard work. Not a matter of practicality here - just plain ethics.

What's pathetic is that these guys never seem to use the free time they just created for something constructive...like, say, exercise. I would know - I've met enough of these slobs to know they can't even throw a decent punch...let alone stand up straight.

That, and it really gets my goat to get pwned by some ego-bloated moron I know never earned their keep.
