Hi all!
There have been many complaints about the Shaman class as a whole, especially those spec'd as 'Enhancement'. While Shaman used to be the 'god mode' of the game, that has changed over the past few years after we'd been smacked repeatedly with the nerf bat.
But the smackings went too far and we became nerfed to the point where we were often passed-by for high-end runs.
Hopefully these changes will help. We didn't get an aggro-wipe or any form of crowd control, which were our two big gripes, but the changes still look promising;
Elemental:
1. Lightning Overload now has a 4/8/12/16/20% chance to proc (UPDATED)
2. Lightning Overload damage has been decreased by 50% (UPDATED)
3. Lightning Overload now causes 0 threat (UPDATED)
4. Mana Spring Totem now restores mana at a rate of 20 mana every 2 seconds (UPDATED)
5. Water Shield now costs 0 mana to cast, and the mana per globe has been substantially increased (UPDATED)
6. Water Shield's duration has been reduced to 1 minute, and grants mana for each globe left upon ending (UPDATED)
7. Elemental Focus will now reduce the mana cost of your next two damage spells by 40% (UPDATED)
8. Lightning Bolt casting time reduced to 2.5 seconds, and mana cost decreased (UPDATED)
9. Chain Lightning casting time reduced to 2 seconds, and mana cost decreased (UPDATED)
10. Lightning Mastery reduced to .1/.2/.3/.4/.5 seconds
(I was going to post the enhance changes, but I'm not as excited about them... since I'm elemental-spec... and also I should get back to work :P)
