I was doing my early morning Google Advanced News Search for you-know-who, when I came across this rather bizzare story.

I wonder what happens if you play the game backwards?

You unlock the Hard Gay skin.

So many questions...

Is it a coincidence? And who is it referring to? Mario? The player? And why would the artist even do it?

I base this on something classic. Those who are looking for offensive content, will find it, no matter how vague

I never did find the "offensive" word in Lion King. Even when I was told specifically where to look.

Maybe because you weren't looking to have it banned?:D

Or maybe he doesn't find the word "SFX" offensive. :)

Your mind tries to find patterns where there are none. Its a common habit, how many people look at the stars or clouds and find patterns. This is likely just a case of someone pulling something out of their ass because they want to cause a scene.

Wow... this is going to end badly, I just know it.

There was no subliminal homophobia in God Hand, it was right there, in plain sight. Am I evil for thinking a game that is so blatantely homophobic is funny?

The main male character saying a bunch of thugs are sexier than the main female character

Lets not forget the first mini bosses, two overly muscled guys wearing showgirl outfits. Those guys were so... I can't think of a better word, so I'll just leave it at that.

Hahaha, holy ****, that's awesome!

The Mario thing. The God Hand thing is also pretty cool. Maybe I should give the game a try.

You should. I tried it myself and Godhand fairly rocked.

It even brings back Capcom's "You win a new car!!!! Now beat the **** out of it!!!" minigame

It's a fun game, but it's hard... really, REALLY hard... mostly due to the fact that you'll be getting your butt kicked by off screen enemies on a regular basis.

What other games had that? I vaguely remember it...

BAH! RRRRICAAARDS! Err...I mean, homophobic is boring. Now homoEROTIC on the other hand, WOO! Like, a genetically engineered super soldier, clad in cyber...uhh...hotpants! Has to save the world from the tetacloids of Phallas XII. And he has a partner, yeah! with like...other...cyber pants...and they can combine (because their *pants* are cybertronic and ****) to form like...some kind of super gay robot dude...and...they have to wrestle the aliens into submission! That would be a game I'd buy!

Only female game characters get hotpants...if they're lucky, generally they get nothing more than an armored bra and thong.

Finding something subliminal in that Mario cover is a stretch. Someone is looking to find something wrong in the picture, you could probably make up more things about it.

I still have the original Little Mermaid VHS with the DEFINATE phallic symbol on the front and the Alladin where he asks her to "take off her clothes" and the sultan gets a little too "excited". THATS obvious.

What I want to know is how do employee's get away with it? There were hundred's of thousands of copies made before something was done. More than one person has to know whats going on.

Observation. Sometimes it's just a matter of not looking for something and not finding it.

Sometimes, it just takes a moderate nitpicker to catch something. Look at www.nitcentral.com (http://www.nitcentral.com) and hit the discussion board (very top link) and you'll see how far some folks go to "notice" things.
