Its the same thing for pretty much all American box art. While the European and Japanese may have some sort of symbol relevant to the actual game, or some actual.. you know, art, we North Americans are stuck with the same old two types-

-Main character. Must either be posing super-cool or smiling at you like an idiot.
-Sometimes, other main character. Doing something unrelated, 1st main character is unaware of their presence, and 2nd main character really has no need to be doing whatever they're doing in the same room.
-Bad guy(s) Must be scary. and evil. Sometimes, the main bay guy will be hovering ominously in the background, and worse off, he’s TRANSPARENT!

or...

-Marketable main characters standing in a line so you can know who they are and buy their merchandise. If the publisher is trying to squeeze out more money, they'll be opposite of all the bad guy characters.
-Same old same old, main bad guy is hovering transparent in the background.

I heard Ico was rushed in translation, part of the reason why the lightsaber was also discarded in the NA version.

OK so I've had Pink eye a week now, and it sucks. The first night and following day wasn't so bad. My eyes were itchy and Visine kept them from being too red. Over the weekend however my eyes went straight throught Pink into Satan's Love Child Red.

So I got to the Doctor this Monday get on Antibiotics to clear it up, and steroids to reduce the swelling and inflammation. Now a week in and my eyes are just blood shot. I'm taking this week off work because I still look hell. My eyes are swollen in the mornings before I get breakfast and take my steroids. During the day they do pretty good. I just switched to the more power Antibiotics my doctor prescribed as a choice if the initial ones didn't do too well. So I'll wait and see. What sucks is I have a big weekend planned and I don't want to miss it due to me looking like crap.

No, it says in the pamphlet it comes with "may cause upset stomach FOR UP TO 3 MONTHS when you first start these suckers". She switched from the "mini-pill" which is designed for recent mothers/breast-feeding mothers to the regular pill.

Hey gang since I been moving in to this larger room a lot of "sh*t happens" has been happening to me in the last few days of moving. Let's start with the fact that I got to buy a new router for my wireless Internet now that costs between $170 - $200. And that's not the half of it on my growing pricey shopping list.

Tonight when I was setting up more stuff my sister came in to my room and asked me for my Gamecube because she was entertaining this snot nosed very spoiled (he gets everything because he's an only child and also quite a bit of a mama's boy as well) little chubbkens who lives in my apartment block one floor up. So I start removing the Gamecube from it's power and router box when the shelf that both the router box and VCR was sitting on fell out and smacked my XBox twice and also the broadcast cable end of my VCR got ripped out with the screw still in the VCR cable plug. And also as a side note don't buy much of anything from The Source by Circuit City unless you want to buy 25 buck piece of crap that brakes very easily.

So now I got to buy a new TV cable wire but this time I'm going to a Buck Store to buy my new cable for my TV that will cost about $5. But that's not all. Later when I went to play on my XBox my copy of Saints Row is now screwed over and that's going to cost me around 60 bucks. The disk has a few fracture scratches around the disk when the board bitched up my console. So far from what I been seeing the console still works because I plugged in my copy of Perfect Dark in to see if it was hardware problems as well but it's not and I bought the thing at Costco so if it gets marjory fu*ked over I can just take it back for another copy of the console. So now all together my bill has gone up to so far to date: $235. *sigh* God I hate moving and next time if mama's boy chubbkens asks my sister to ask me for a game console I'm just going to do the polite version of "Hell no!" he does not need to be playing games 24/7 that he can if he gets the chance.

Someone shouting the word "****!" in the street is not something you want to hear at 7am. Apparently a couple of my neighbors' cars were broken into. Fortunately for me, the person who did this only broke into cars that had a door or back hatch unlocked.

That would probably explain who was messing with the storage area next to my apartment. The previous tennant built it but I never use it, but I might lock it anyways since it leads to the kitchen window. Bad thing for the theifs is that if they break into my house, the windows are ****ing heavy and have been known to hit people in the head.

Sadly, I can't move till my lease is due in May.

1. Agree with you on the Bible thumping and Anti gay crap. While A straight man myself, I'm a supporter of tollerance and don't feel it's right to demonize gays.

2. I disagree about the whole "Anti WAR" issue. While I don't always agree with the methods used, taking Iraq and getting sadam out of power were both necessary and proper.While I have a hang up with the reasons behind it, I don't think theres anyone who can claim that removing him from power was a bad thing, least of all the people of iraq.

3. For anyone who wants to harp about "Osama", I have something you should think about. 6 years ago, he was on Kidney dialisis. So, while every one harps about not catching him, I would argue that it's not possible because he's already dead and the terrorists are hiding the fact.

4. If you honeslty belive that Hilary clinton, John Murtha, Nancy palosi, and the rest of the democratic party will do any better, your deluding yourself. They have not, nor will they ever, care about the people of the us. All they care about is getting power back. While I don't agree with everything they do, the Republicans have lowered taxs, improved the economy, have created an effective anti terror intelligence unit that has prevented a number of possible attacks, including an attack on the Brooklyn bridge, several attacks in london, and a planned attack on LA. I do not always agree with the methods used, but in case you forgot, the terrorists don't care about rules, geneva conventions, or civillians. Why should we give them rights that some US citizens don't have?

1. Agree with you on the Bible thumping and Anti gay crap. While A straight man myself, I'm a supporter of tollerance and don't feel it's right to demonize gays.

2. I disagree about the whole "Anti WAR" issue. While I don't always agree with the methods used, taking Iraq and getting sadam out of power were both necessary and proper.While I have a hang up with the reasons behind it, I don't think theres anyone who can claim that removing him from power was a bad thing, least of all the people of iraq.

3. For anyone who wants to harp about "Osama", I have something you should think about. 6 years ago, he was on Kidney dialisis. So, while every one harps about not catching him, I would argue that it's not possible because he's already dead and the terrorists are hiding the fact.

6.you may not get anything other than free transportation from corporations/lobbiests,You may get free room and board if you have less than 1milloin in assets (thats everything you got) millionaires need not free thing,and normally can pay for them selfs....

I hate growing up in a computer illiterate family...

I'm taking a used computer from my dad for school (my laptop is not strong enough to run some of the programs).

Well, this computer has been through my dad, my two brothers, and 72 of their closest friends.

Now, I'm trying to get the system restore CDs from my dad (from whom my dad got the computer from, one of his 'sources') in order to fix all the ****ed up problems with it. And it's really ****ed.

But my dad wants to get some oh-so precious pictures off the computer before hand. Problem is, the CD burner is ****ed. It won't burn any CDs, so in a stupid attempt, I plugged in my iPod to try to transfer over the files on it.

Now my iPod is ****ed. I've got three 0KB files that won't delete. And my iTunes is doing something to it that's really taking up space, I seriously don't know what the **** happened to it. And I'm contemplating hitting the 'Restore' button...but doing so will delete all the songs on my iPod, specifically the songs I ripped from my CDs that I don't keep the files on my computer for I have over 50 CDs, which I rip at at least 195kps because it'll take too much space to rip at the highest quality...

Ugh...Computer illiterates should NOT be allowed to use computers, for they'll only give computer literates massive mirgrains...

Yeah, I can agree to that Zip, but I still disagree, and I did my research. You make some points, but the facts are differant. The dems have no plan to fix the budget cause rather then keep doing what is working, they woudl repeal all tax cuts across the board, no just the ones for the rich, meaning you, me and all middle class pay more taxs. They would spend spend spend away the money while acomplishing nothing with it. They would leave the country unprotected and a target for any terrorist with a beef, and whats worst, they woudl give rights to people who'd love to kill them.

Today is Sunday. Like normal, I'm stuck here, working open till close (11-6). And like normal, it's rather busy. Cause for whatever reason, everyone likes to come to the mall on Sundays. Dunno why.

Anyways. So, all day, we've just had people in here. Wandering around. Browsing. Nothing more. Not buying anything. Just being kinda annoying and ever present, causing us to have more people to watch out for, incase anyone's trying to steal. Of course, when you have two people working the store, and at times as many as about 20 people in the store, that gets kinda difficult.

But yeah. The people. They're annoying. You've got your average people that walk in, look around for a bit, then leave. But then you've got your old people, that come in, and ask you all these stupid questions about various things, and then leave without buying anything, having wasted your time and attention that could've been spent on people that actually might've wanted to buy something.

Then you've got the little middle school kids. The little emo punks that come in here, yakking on their Sidekick 3's (oh, so individual!) and RAZRs (even MORE individual!) using our computers to try and check their MySpaces (which they can't, cause it's blocked!) or to watch inanely stupid videos on YouTube (also blocked!). Or they just conglomerate into masses of human in a random part of the store, talking as though it's some sort of hang-out spot.

Ugh... But then, there's the little children... You know, the little elementary school or younger kids. Like this one kid that's in the store right now, just wandering around poking and prodding at stuff. No parents or anything in sight. And then there's the ones that just throw the toys around. Some of them quite literally. I'm surprised more of our stuff isn't broken...

Sometimes, I wish I had some sort of valid reason to take some of my zombie killing equipment from the back, and just bludgeoning these people... So... Annoying...

I hate my imagination sometimes, it ALWAYS runs away whenever I see ANY sort of creepy content. Doesn't matter whether it's those damned "creepy window" YTMNDs, scary video games/movies (even just clips!), reading a particularly detailed description of a scary movie, or just listening to creepy sounds.

I can clearly visuallize horrible things popping up right behind me *looks behind shoulder* or around a goddamned corner. This is, of course, made abhorently worse when I am alone or awake at night. I just so happen to stay awake long into the AM, long past the times when everyone else in my family has fallen asleep. My house is also fairly old and makes noises from time to time.

I ****ING HATE THIS ****. I'm so damn ashamed of myself. I KNOW there is nothing there, yet my irrational fear takes over my logic and leaves me frozen in fear in whatever piece of furniture I'm in.

Frankly, I doubt my dad has put a cent towards any of our (me and my two brothers) college savings.

So. My last few days have been pretty much ****. Halloween, I got bitched out by my boss for stuff that I had pretty much nothing to do with, and because she was mad at stuff that I later found out I had nothing to do with. And I got to spend upwards of $60 on candy to hand out to stupid little kids in the store. $60 of my own money, out of my pocket. Not the store's, mine. Great.

Yesterday. My computer died. A computer I've had for maybe 2 months now. I was trying to install Nero 7, it wanted me to restart. I did. Now it doesn't even get past the starting up screen without giving a blue screen of death, proclaiming some such about a certain system file being missing/corrupt/unwritable. Might as well pop up and say something like "Flagrant System Error". At least that'd be funny. Thing won't even boot into safe mode. So now it's looking like I'm gonna have to take it in to CompUSA, and hope that they can do something about it, cause it looks like the hard drive that Windows was on is pretty much FUBAR'd. The second drive is fine. Just the first is dead. So I'm gonna have to hope that they can either reformat it (great, I lose about 100 gb worth of games, programs, music, documents, all my /b/ pictures...), or just plain replace the drive with a new (preferably larger capacity) drive. And that may take several days to who knows how long to do. So I no longer have a computer, basically. Yay for Pocket PC. And work computers. But no /b/ at work...

Oh. And my girlfriend seems to be pretty much uber-pmsing. Continuously. For the past couple weeks. Which is really not making things for me right now all that much more fun. And according to her, it's pretty much a seasonal sort of dealy. Which means I'm probably gonna get to deal with that all winter. Joy.

So then. That's my so-far-absolutely-wonderful times.

Interestingly, it seems my laptop did not come with the XP disk. Probably something they forgot to throw in when I got it. So are the downfalls of getting the display model at a closing store.

Of course, I did find the little slip of paper that told me to press F11 at startup to access that recovery menu. Which worked. And I still have all my stuff on that hard drive.

Of course, now the problem is that the other hard drive is inaccessible, for some reason. All the folders still seem to be there, and the space is still taken up, but when I try to go in the folders, they say they are inaccessible, and there properties list them all as empty. So yeah. That does make me pissed off some more, but at least it's working again.

While I'm at it, anyone know of any program that can fix that problem? Free or otherwise. If otherwise, I can always find... Alternative means to get it. If ya get mah drift.

Here's a rant: So I go to jack in the box, they have a sign up: "$0.10 for additional sauce packets" I figure, fair's fair, we'll be like Europe now showing off our foreskins and drinking beer at room temperature and paying for ketchup. No prob. So I order one additional packet of buttermilk sauce for my curly fries. Pull up to the window, I am handed a bag with one buttermilk sauce, and no other sauce. I say "Hey waitaminute, I ordered an additional sauce." the cashier informs me that it's already in there I say "but there's only one sauce, how could it be additional if there was none in the first place? You can't get additional sauce when you've had none in the first place!" the cashier shrugged and I payed the extra 11 cents (tax included) for another sauce.


Now, I'm all for the free market and if they want to charge for any and all sauce that's fine but don't pull this alice in wonderland bull**** on me offering me more tea when I can't very well have more tea when I haven't had any in the first place!

Every last one of them is beholden to some special intrest and any who tell you otherwise is the worst kind of liar. I find I'm way past being jaded on this and fast approaching extreme levels of cynicism.

To give an example of the level of down right vile behaviour we're being subjected to let me give an example. There's a dude running for congress here in Michigan against Laura Toy. He's making the claim that she's missed more than 400 votes during her term. What this bloody, rotten, snake oil salesman is neglecting to mention is that Laura Toy was in Michigan taking care of her mother during that time. A mother she lost to cancer. What kind of jackass takes a person to task for missing votes when she had to care for family????? I've grown more and more sickened by the behaviour of both major parties and I urge everyone here to vote Libertarian this year. If nothing else they're for less government; which in this day and age is the best we can hope for.

I've grown more and more sickened by the behaviour of both major parties and I urge everyone here to vote Libertarian this year. If nothing else they're for less government; which in this day and age is the best we can hope for.

In this election season I just want to say one thing. I hate politicians. Not one of them has an ounce of honor or integrity. Every last one of them is beholden to some special intrest and any who tell you otherwise is the worst kind of liar. I find I'm way past being jaded on this and fast approaching extreme levels of cynicism.

To give an example of the level of down right vile behaviour we're being subjected to let me give an example. There's a dude running for congress here in Michigan against Laura Toy. He's making the claim that she's missed more than 400 votes during her term. What this bloody, rotten, snake oil salesman is neglecting to mention is that Laura Toy was in Michigan taking care of her mother during that time. A mother she lost to cancer. What kind of jackass takes a person to task for missing votes when she had to care for family????? This reminds me of a political ad that aired in Georgia, where a Congressional candidate claimed his opposition couldn't "stand up to face oncoming challenges." Problem with this was that the opposing party's candidate had lost both legs in Vietnam, so he literally couldn't stand up. Most of these people don't take the time to look into personal lives, they're just trying to blast each other any way they can. It's called mudslinging and it's as old as politics.

I actually feel better now. Except for the fact that in the words of a co-worker: "You realize if you get promoted you'll have a whole bunch of crap to clean up....". But it's ok. I'm hoping I can talk the other person I work with who has management experience to take the position.
