Ok, Blizzcon is upon us, the tickets are now on sale. I'm curious, and I know I asked this in another thread -- but who from GP's forums is planning on attending? It would be kind of fun to meet up with some other GP'ers.

Yep, were on sale for 3 days, Blizzard kinda broadcast it across all their sites. Sold out almost exactly 3 days after they opened. Then they sold like 100 more tickets yesterday. I'd suggest checking the blizzcon site (http://blozzcon.com) regularly, because the tickets will appear and disappear really fast. Demand seems to be HUGE for it.

I think it's because they said all attendees will be in the beta of SOMETHING.

And everyone believes that SOMETHING is Starcraft 2.

Actually, based on how disappointed non-WoW Blizzard Fans were from '05, with the beta being exclusively the WoW TBC Beta test, I'd not be surprised if the beta for the '07 BlizzCon was something where when you signed up/registered, there was a potential choice between two (or possibly 3) options:

Starcraft 2: Obvious, this is the game that already is announced.
WoW Expansion #2: Also somewhat obvious. Blizzard is making the second expansion pack, and not being overtly secretive about it. They just haven't formally announced anything yet.
Diablo 3: Not quite as obvious for some people, but bear in mind that there were clues/hints at the BlizzCon '05 that Blizzard was developing Diablo 3 at the time, while they were working on Starcraft: Ghost too. Now... they pulled the crew working on Ghost, they might have pulled the group working on Diablo 3 as well, but eventually might have gone back to finish the development.

If they did all three, then they'd have something for everyone who's a Blizzard fan -- Diablo fans, WoW fans, and the Starcraft/RTS fans.

I could care less about WOW if it was 8 a month I might try it I did PSO and it was worth every bit of the 9 a month. 14 and climbing is just to much for the receptivity.

Well, I find WoW's price to be pretty darned cheap for the amount of entertainment I derive. You spend more at a movie theater any more, or a night at a club.
