Well I went to the doctor today for a blood test in relation to my hospital stay last month. Turns out my hemoglobin count has gone up to 15.2 which they tell is perfect.

Now all I have to do is work more on losing the excess weight and I'm gold. :D Today is a good day to be alive. :D

You must have gotten more hemoglobin in your system after watching Spiderman 3.

For those that don't know I was in the hospital last month for about five days. At the time I went in my hemoglobin count was 2.7, I'm told that 4 is deadly. Its a fairly sobering thing when the doctors and nurses tell you that the only reason you're alive is Divine intervention. As it stands I'm much much better and trying to lose some excess poundage.

Thanks btw KN. I might not always agree with you but its nice to know you care. :) *hugs back*

I managed to hit a hemoglobin of 3 when my liver failed in 01, it really sucked :O

*nods* oh yeah. What was really strange was that my blood pressure was still normal despite the rate my heart was beating. That REALLY confused the nurses.

Jesus > Biological Reason

Your hemoglobin was that low? Well, at least your good now.:)

Is it one of those "body does not produce enough to accomodate entire body mass" things? Like some forms of diabetes?

Honestly I don't know. They never were able to figure out what caused the anemia. They tried doing an endoscopy twice but I stopped breathing during both procedures so they didn't want to try again. My blood count kept going up while I was in the hospital so they knew I was making it; I guess its just a mystery until I can pay for more tests.

Many thanks.

I've got my own suspicions on how it happened but I'd also like to know what my doctor thinks.

After living a life full of hearty Spanish food, hundreds of carbs per plate, starches, and excessive sweets, I now have to cut it all out. I was told last year that my cholesterol level was so far above norm, so much so that they have me on 2 medications. Now, I have my blood sugar level too high. If I lose the flab, I'll be much better. Getting into biking next month.

Glad you feel better, Bayu. Now, go lose that fat.

I think its all the debats here on the gp forums that raised the hemogoblins.

This could be an excellent opportunity to test that Wii Sports diet/exercise plan thing out...
