While it obviously pulls many concepts straight from XBL, the Real Money Value using whatever your local currency is definitely has an edge over the points system of XBL. And free is always better than paying for it.

Huh, just realized that if you bought an XBOX 360 at launch, and maintained a Live account for 5-6 years, you'd end up paying an extra 250-300 dollars for the service, putting the total (assuming the $400 model) at 50-100 more than the PS3....

I wouldn't mind spending 10 a month to have a pick of any MMO that comes out but I guess we have not gotten to that sweet point where new MMOs will be cheap..
