That whatshisname guy from Rufuscubed was hired by Blizzard to help with the machinima part. South Park studios worked with Blizzard to make most of the content in the video.

I laughed so hard at this ep.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to play WoW for months due to lack of good enough computer.

(That's right this computer can't even run WoW.)

Not to mention that despite it's appearance, South Park is acutally created on one of the most advanced and powerful animation computers to date. A serial cartoon such as the Simpsons or Family Guy takes something like 3 months per episode which is why they almost never tackle current issues. South Park episodes usually take 1-2 weeks to complete per episode, and in a crunch can be done in less than a week.
Thus South Park not only when it's writers choose can get much better graphics it also can take on current issues, such as the 2000 election episode between Ike and Philmore, were running for Kindergarten class president, and the absent kid had to vote, and then Flora was undecided. This part of the episode was added in to an existing episode when the election came out the way it did.
