This will probably be easy to solve but I just bought myself a Samsung HD LE32R7 LCD TV. After setting it up I've found that stuff put through the Red Yellow White sockets and scart look terrible on it. I want to play Twilight Princess but the quality (which was fine on my tiny telly) is so awful you can barely make out what link is wearing. Does anyone know if there is an easy way of solving this or should I just go out and buy a Wii Component cable?

Yes. It looks terrible on HDTVs if you use SCART. There is absolutely no way of counteracting this except for buying component cables.

My wii looks fine running through standard cables onto my HDTV. Perhaps there's some settings you need to adjust?

Either way, it's probably for the best to get component cables eventually, I plan to at some point in time. (like when I research a good component cable switch box at a reasonable price)

Not sure if this will help you might even be something you tried already. There's a setting you can change in the Wii options for HD I think it's only good for 480i not 100% sure. I only have a 37" boob tube at home. I know I saw the setting to change it when I first got it though.

Yeah I tried that. With the component cables I've managed to get it to look a lot better but its never going to be trully pretty. My main problem is thanks to the high def the lack of antialiasing is far more apparant (meaning jagged edges). Still at least now I can see the shield on Links back!

I think I may have rushed getting a HD TV because even my 360 is looking a little iffy in places and watching old DVD's/normal TV is a bit off.

Thanks for the suggestions though.

I have a Samsung 42" Plasma HD and am using standard cables without an issue.

Ooh you rich git :p

I'm using a Samsung 32" LCD which does give me clearer quality but only when I use the higher Standard cables. It's TV quality isn't great but I'm attributing that to my aerial and my area's trully abysmal digital reception.
