Unlike the Conservapedia (which I never did get around to defacing, btw), this isn't going to push an agenda.

Well, thoughts? Do you think they will succeed? Will it fail? Or do you think that Wikipedia and Citizendium are going to end up in an eternal 69 position, fellatio-ing each other, and borrowing each other's articles?

As a lowly denizen of the Interwebs, I doubt it'll affect me... no matter which site ultimately triumphs, I'll still have somewhere to go for interesting -- if dubiously sourced -- information. A bit of competition might help improve Wikipedia anyway. I don't have a problem with the site in its current form, but hey, maybe these Citizendium guys actually do know how to make it better.

Citizendium was started by the co-founder of Wikipedia, who Jimbo Wales has desperatly tried to erase from history.

But only when diving into the bowels of talk pages and archived discussions. Jimbo Wales actually PERSONALLY objected to the guy being listed as a co-founder of Wikipedia. The discussion dragged on forever.
