It actually makes your computer faster, it works, and it consumes no RAM at all. It's...

The Norton Removal Tool (http://www.neowin.net/index.php?act=view&id=39320).

I had to ;p

This tool is especially useful to mac owners who bought NIS without being told that the version didn't support 10.4. Bastards.

Hey, I run NAV, and I get no virii. And really, you're a lot worse off with no AV than with one of the highest-rated AV's.

I don't run any AV, and I don't get viruses either.

The people who make NOD32 have a full security suite coming out soon. It's supposedly really awesome.

I use AVG Free and Zone Alarm Basic. On top of that I'm behind a firewall, and so far, the only thing that messes up my computer is me, and that's how it should be.

AVG antivirus is a fine program and doesn't require a removal tool.

i do use ghost, but only because its really the only choice and my daughter says "oooOOOoooOOOoo" when she sees the icon.

I use ZA Pro as my firewall. I'm not rich, but I'm willing to invest in security.

ZA is ok....I personally like using a [H]ardware based firewall.

Comodo is nice as far as firewalls go.

ZA Pro is one of three Firewalls that scored excellent on a leak test.

I've had it for a long time, and I liked it. Then I took a look at Comodo and thought "hey. .wait.. this looks familiar". It just IS ZA Pro. For free.

AVG for my antivirus, Sygate for a firewall + I'm pretty damn sure I've got a hardware firewall for a router =P

I use ZA Pro and Symantec Antivirus (the good one) for my protection needs and even then I'm shielded behind my wireless router for extra protection.
