Heh, Easter. I'm looking forward to tonight, alot of my friends here at college have a tradition of getting together to have a zombie movie marathon as a bit of a joke. This is my first year here so it should be interesting. Particularly since they're supposed to have a couple of really messed up movies, particularly one called "Wild Zero." I don't know what it is but I caught the term "dismembered head sex" when they were talking about the movies.

Nah, MS Paint would make a much crisper image, and after 100 hours, it might even look good ;)

Looking at the more recent comics, though, it looks like he's improved a lot. His art style looks very heavily inspired by stuff like Mac Hall, and while it's nowhere near as good, at least he's on the right track.

I specifically remember when Scott Kurtz attacked his weak point for massive damage. As we probably all know, Fred sacked the original writer of most of MegaTokyo's storylines because that guy didn't want it to turn into the emo ****fest it is now. And of course, less people to pay equals more money, and more money equals more pocky.

When said guy had a child, Kurtz congratulation him, and added "this is the one thing Piro cannot take from you". Piro being Gallagher idealized version of himself.

As he has the self-esteem of a wet tissue, this sent Gallagher into an emo-fest previously unseen on the intarwebs, making Scott Kurtz an epic troll.

lol. I wanted to get everyone who played Ninja in FFXI together in one area on my server and all at once use their two hour ability where they blow themselves up. The plan was to have a massive Ninja susicde cult or see how long before the server imploded from splodie ninjas.

Just to be honest Penny Arcade to me is more of a cult to me because you have two guys who just happened to strike it lucky in the Internet Game with their comic that by the way it always wins most of the time on comic votes thanks to the blind fan-base it has that they don't consider look at any other comics.

And hell the comics are not really that great anymore. They just take the most easiest way to make a point and add swearing in almost every 2nd word for extra effect. PAX to me is just the Gabe and Tyco con (with games) just so the fan base can kiss their asses and buy their wares and wonder after they blow their money how they are going to get home.

If it was not for Child's Play Penny Arcade's cred would mean fsck all to most forms of the media. They were good back then when it came to bringing webcomics to the mainstream but now it has become mainstream they are just the MTV of webcomics that just happens to be the only one right now to have a PC game coming out that's name is harder to pronounce then Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's name just to sound classy and smart.

And don't get me started about MegaTokyo that webcomic jumped the shark when Gallagher fired Piro the major writer of pretty much all of the start of the comic and then some. Then after Piro was gone (he left also because he wanted to see MegaTokyo get in to print form) Gallagher tuned the comic in to something along the lines of one of those Japanese Dateing Sims that he loves to play.

And CAD is getting in to more of the love between Ethan and his GF and games have been takeing more of a back seat quite a bit latey from this.

Well Gallagher is Piro, I think you mean Largo. And Rodney Caston left MT because of creative differences. The rant looks to be like one of those rants you see when people start to bash a former indy band who "sold out" and went mainstream and now sucks because they are no longer hardcore and underground. If you don't like it do ****ing read it and why need to bash on the people who do like it? **** I would love to attend PAX sometime, big ****ing deal if it is Gabe n' Tycho con I mean it is the Penny Arcade eXpo right? And blowing all their money and then wondering how to get home, that can be said with any huge ****ing con.

So some webcomics are getting away from the games for a bit and actually making a story line, what is wrong with that? Yes I enjoy witty randomness as the next guy but I do enjoy story lines too.

PA doesn't do the storylines a lot. Usually, when they do it's soley to please the fans with cameos. The glorious return of Frank and the others in Armadeddon was very well done.


And you just have to read the Elemenstor wiki. It started out with one article, as part of the PA guys' plan to mock generic fantasy. Right now, this **** has thousands of articles, many of which are just lethal to behold, as they will make you lolgasm so hard your eyes will implode. You can say many things about PA fans, but magical **** always happens when they get together.

I'm happy for PA, I don't care that they aren't so indie that their shirts don't fit, if I were in the same situation I would hope my readers were happy for me. If someone contacted me this evening and offered me a contract writing for...well...anything, really, based on something from my DA account, I wouldn't be like "Oh well **** my family and my career, I need to stay true to the 14 people who have me on their favorite list!" I would be a little more like "Where do I sign when can I start and how much will you pay?".
