I personally think it's like how you post guro in threads you want to die, Canada slaughters the seals so American left wingers will gtfo and realize that it isn't a socialist heaven.
Any other theories? (besides that killing cute furry animals is fun)

Dude, like, aside form the whole Clubbing baby anything being wrong, I think you might be onto something about that whole theory of yours.
But still man, thats wrong, no need to club the seals. Club stupid people. We've got them in spades and could use to thin the herd so to speak.

Well it isn't something we talk about often, and we do have some Canadiens here so why not?
Agree'd with yuki, maybe allow the fisherman who want to club seals club PETA activists instead, and allow the PETA activists to club the seal hunters for killing seals..

Shooting them is just as likely to miss their brain, and cause them needless pain. They hit them with a huge friggin club, one thwack and they're dead.
These protestors are just bitchy because seals are cute, and the hunters end up covered in blood by the end of the day...

But honestly, is a dead cow carcass any less messy? It's just easier to drain the blood into sluice gates if you hang 'em up first. Not as easy to do that with seals...

I did some quick reading, and apparently only 25% of seal hunters today use the clubs. The rest use rifles. The clubbers like it because there's less chance of missing and ruining a pelt.
