#1.What are the real prices of the PS3 systems not what they are selling them at.
we all know their being sold at 100 less than US retail and 300 more than US retail world wide, but whats the real price of it.
--------------------
#2.Are they really losing more on the low end console?
--------------------
#3.what is with the 30-60% upping in price in some contries,I know vat can be nearly 20% but in some cases it over 900$ US.
---------------
#4. Any word on them fully removing the PS2 hardware from all PS3s?
---------------
I have questions!!! and bad breath *huffs into hand sniffs and passes out* :D
1. If I recall, over 1200 dollars.
2. Pretty much. The **** the low end doesn't have is only a fraction of what it costs to make it.
3. Sony likes round numbers. So it costs 600 euros here and 450 pounds in Britain because that looks good. Even though it's waaaay more than the North American price
4. They did it in Europe. I'd say once the Japanese and North American warehouses clear out, they're getting the same ones. So really, if you have a PS3 NOW, lay off selling it on eBay for a while. That ****'s gonna skyrocket in value.

*sigh*....lurk more the diffrance in the high/low is 4 thighs the HD ,card reader,WIFI and the silver trim HOW MUCH DOSE TRIM COST??IS IT MADE OF REAL SILVER?!?!
that comes up to about 100-200 in parts lets split that and say the real price of the PS3 is 900, they lose 400 on the low end and 300 on the high end.
in my mind it still rings ture the low end is pointless the high end needs to be in the 450-500 range if they did this they would not be having trouble selling the console.

Actually the trim is Platinum made to look like silver. I agree with KN about them removing the PS2 hardware and going software emu in the future.
Sony fan-boys/fan-girls will now have to choose a different angle besides "they're selling at a loss therefore it's better!"

you do know they have said they do want to support it and after the "emulation" is released updates will be far and few between because they are focusing on other things........
