Anyone have Unreal Tournament 2003?
I have managed to get some code to work and want to share the pain.
I am polishing up my tweaked Assault Rifle
UT03 Assault Rifle
Comment: obviously weak for a watered down UT
Damage:7-7
AIM/Hit:Spread+0.02,0.12(spreads wildly)
Grenade Damage:70
DamageRadius=240.000000
Ammo:Minigun X1
Ammo Grenade:Grenade X1 (max 7,pick up is from random player drops never on map)
Zar(Zippy's Assault Rifle)
Comment:No doubt overkill but then I want all the weapons to gain a 30-60% up in power and usefulness.
Damage:9-24
AIM/Hit:Spread+0.01,0.12(doesn't spread wildly,)
Grenade Damage:55
DamageRadius=400.000000
Ammo:Minigun X2
Ammo Grenade:MinigunX5
Glitchs:Range bar for grenades wont move but it still functions normally
(I must apologize for me going into a odd/strange/witty Fallout-esqe piece on weapon development,think of this as a commercial)
Another weapon from Zippy labs,yes that little furry bastard is at it again making things go boom better,after a short 2 year sabbatical from blowing up our last lab we are now ready to present to you the new line of re developed weaponry for your out dated game.
The New ZAR (Zippys Assault Rifle) is a improvement on the unreleased beta as well as the standard UT03 Assault rifle,now using the new ZEPBA Bullet design using energy crystals for rounds and gases to propel them giving it extra punch and depending on the firing mechanism(tuning) you use to excite the crystals can have a hard or heavy or explosive the current non bullet variation is a grenade like effect when launched as a grenade sadly it has less bite but strangely carries its less toothy grin over 45% larger area,altho tuning of the crystal still gives off odd radiation spikes we are working on thos issues however only effect humanoid reproduction.
Come back to us next week when we unvial the HellFire Cannon ,witch will make that mighty minigun feel mini!
Approved specs
Standard mode: fires rapidly firing off lite explosive rounds at dizzying speeds with little aim error
Alternate mode: fires a more rough and slow barrage of bullets however these have nearly 3 times the power and ammo consummation
why aim when you can destroy everything in front of you,using the new ZEPBA(Zippys Energas Performance Bullet Ammo) to fire explosive bullets,Both modes of fire let out huge destructive forces so much so in fact we've had to replace test subjects...errr skilled professionals to fire out troubled...errr high performance weaponry.
while the final modes may vary due to loss of lab..er data...er...personal...err....oh forget it....
Note:
Energas Energy Crystal And gas round
Depending on the tuning of the crystal it can be exploded or harden while the gas cell within can propel it great distances,widest tunning device in use is in the ZARs,sadly the larger devices in testing tend to make one glow in the dark and thusly a easy target.....

it dose not replace the AR but adds it to the number 2 weapon slot so you can cycle between them.
(I am not sure where this would go plus most of the active members are OT B's so I thought I'd post it here then you can move it to where it best fits I was about to move it to the dev forum but I don't think that would be the best place)

it will bring up the command
type in god to turn god mode on if you want
to get the weapon type
summon zippyut03.zarpickup
or you can bind them to a key by opening your user.ini and puttign them by o and P

I do believe anything made for 2K3 should work in 2K4, in theory. If that's the case, I think I'll check that out when I get home, and can reinstall 2K4 (I've been meaning to, anyways. wanna play some Invasion online).

u2 is the first u2 code so to speak then after a few games the next big U game was UT03 sporting tweaked code then again 04 was released sporting even more tweaked code,ye can try it but I dunno if it would work.

Eh, I know I've never had any problems running 2K3 stuff with 2K4. Maps, mods, weapons... Everything seems to work fine. I mean, I'm sure there's probably something that doesn't work the way it was originally intended... But nothing that I've found yet.

Alright, I fired it up and gave it a shot (heh, puns). Primary fire seems to work fine (though I haven't tried it against anyone yet), but secondary fire causes it to crash. Not sure if that is just some sort of strange incompatibility between it and 2K3, or if it's just because I don't have 2K4 patched up to current at the moment cause I'm at work. But when I get home, I'll patch it up, and see if that changes how it wants to act.

Ya its in the grenade code as they update things you have to be and more precise,I can hobble together one using the normal grenade ammo at 10 shot per 1 grenade ammo tho ,^^
want that till I can get the bug worked out?

strike that theres extra crap to go threw to get it to be usable on 04,I am getting 04 and asking for help on the unreal moders forum I go to.

I just orded Unreal anthology for 17 from ebay it has unreal+ expansion, Unreal 2,UT and the newer UT04
I should be able to jump into messing with it as soon as I get it.

I didn't realize that was out yet... Grof. If not for the fact that I already own the UT GOTY edition, and 2K4, I'd get it. But I already own over half the contents of that... Only thing I don't have is U2. And I've heard it's not horribly great to begin with.

Sicne I have 03 and it works fine on 03,me thinks its good to go for 03 =X.X=
and I think I can make it use rocket ammo pickups without losing rocket ammo...to the rocket launcher.. altho since you can carry 300 of the minigun ammo 2 per shot on normal fire and 5 per shot for grenade fire it balances out nicely ,I might akimbo later... and none of this FF11 dual wiled sh!t they have form the in 04 one .......no dcking with the refire rate or the damage you get 2 medium class weapons X2 the only down side ammo consumption is doubled.
I been looking at some code to turn the Link gun in something thats more like the U1 stinger,I need to try and remake my U1 Stoner(like the stinger only alt fire is rapid fire and the shards ricochet 5 times,it was not instana death but holy fck it was a fun weapon in tight settings I recall leaving the rippers head shot code in it once....parts where flying everywhere man.... I miss coding ^^)

lok up the plasma txt/pic and see if you make it smaller (like 60% smaller) and make it blue,I think I can do it but why save all the fun for myself :P

I am just now noticing....ALL the weapons kill in 2 or 3 hits all but the shield gun,Assault reg fire and the minigun......man I need to stick Unreal gold in and check the weapon balances...something is not right....here....
Mmmmm the flack cannon normal fire the shotgun like blast of flak dose 13 X 9 is all 9 bits hit thats 120 points of damage almost and a good 70-80 is enough to kill with one hit,so I changed the damage to 7 a chunk and you cant kill easily at long range but tis still nasty up close thus balance is restored ,or something need to tweak on it more but what do you all think do super 3 hit or less kill weapons water down game play or do weapons balanced out to their presived strengths and weakness's?
TO me the Flak Cannon is shotgun like weapon with spread shot and a no bounce shrapnel grendae,this means its poor long medium range but nasty up close and around corners ,the grenade side needs some adjustments 2-4 more flack should do it.
the more I play this game the more I am reminded of the BMG game comic skit rant in old EMG game mag tis bigger and less detailed 0-o *L*

ok muts ARE needed for better control of default properties..
even if you summon them they need to be in mut format *L*
So I got my Stinger project rolling now size has been changed
Damage 9 a hit (FINALY)
Speed of projectile up X2
Re fire X2
Alt fire shotgun type (only a bit slower than normal fire :D )
Size halved(or 40-60%)
Light effect (glows white red,its still green but it lights up stuff around it white red)
now I have hit a new problem THE DAMN AMMO PER SHOT WILL NOT ADJUST!!!!
so its all 1 shot per fire.....alt mode needs to eat at least 2 ammo per shot,its a shame I cant make a movie of it and shot it the auto shotgun effect is nice :P
I think my next project I will do a TC mute I have looked at some of the code tis not to madding well maybe a mut first easier to test I guess

hey guys in my coding adventures I acidaintly made the Singer projectiles (smaller faster than linkgun) do what rockets do when they land its rather funny PM me if you want to try the mut,it should be 03/04 compatible.
