I gt a old large Xbox controller i notice on Halo 2 on the analog sticks alittle away from the center it goes full speed is this how they made it? the PS2 pad on most games is a even transition, not smooth for a bit then jumps 0_o

any have the black and white button on the shoulders?

I'd say you got a second hand one that's been worn out from use. I notice most analog sticks slip off-center after I've had them for a while.

Then there's the public game center ones that, if you owned them yourself, you'd have thrown then away and replaced them already.

My policy is to only buy New, first party controllers. Because they're pretty much guaranteed to be up to standard.

Mmmm I need a better brain

its smooth and solid in the center but then the sensitivity jumps up on the out side of it like this

you slowy press right on the stick this happens either stick
-> --> ---> ----> -----> ---------------->

on any other sys it would be

-> --> ---> ----> -----> ------> -------> -------->

I have had bad analog sticks before this is more a jump in sensitivity and I cant tell if tis the first gen Xbox pads or what I a PS2 pad on it and well its nice but ick
its like

-----> ------> -------> --------> --------> -------->

its jut to sensitive *L*

Ya, they don't have much of a dead zone on the controllers. The things that keep them centered keep are also the things that read the position. The controllers use relative positioning, to the position the stick was in when the system was turned on.

Best bet lower your sensitivity.

The game pad elitist's are already whining,but I'd be happy to get one as long as its not as jerky as the Jogfrag,the Max shooter is heavan if tis half as useful as the maxshooter it would be worth it!

Anyone have any better info links? I needs more info over this 80$ jewel.

Someone update me on PC gaming controllers I want a nice versatile and highly configurable (by utility or other) Pad.

More or less all PC games let you reconfigure controls on a key-by-key basis- you should be fine with a 360 pad.

not really,and a half descent macro utility can do wonders for game control.

Joy to key is a great utittly but is laggy.

I guess theres no great PC pad makers anymore.

I have a Logitech pad that resembles a PS2 controller and the buttons are easily mappable. I use it for my emulators, and I've been able to customize the buttons for each emulator. It also does have a utility to help configure and calibrate the sticks.
