I was wondering if anybody else here who has a PSP has loaded music files to play on it. If you have what codec did you use. If you used mp3, did you have a hard time with it? Also did you need any special software at all or were you able to just load it directly to the memory stick?

When I tried MP3's worked just fine with no problems. If you use files that require special codecs you probaly will have a problem but with MP3's you can just load them on through windows explorer.

You're welcome, tell me if it doesn't work and I'll see if I can help.

A few of my MP3's became corrupt.

Though, I don't use my PSP to listen to music, really. I have an iPod for that. I'd only upload music to my PSP if I were able to use the music in a game.

EDIT: W00T! 1000th POST!

MP3s will load straight on with no troubles. If you put on some WMA files, you need to activate WMAs somewhere in the settings. Although to be honest, I wish I'd bought a DS and an MP3 player.

Thanks to everyone who responded. Once I started playing around with it I found that it was quite easy to do. Now I just need to get a bigger memory stick :D
