Remember John K. Rosemond (http://rosemond.com/index.php?action=website-view&WebSiteID=389&WebPageID=9891) ? The family psychologist who said that video games were "nefarious devices" ?
In fact, Rosemond has been slamming video games (not only violent ones, but video games per se) since the early 1980s, and had been criticized for it, even in his own journal, The Charlotte Observer. I just need to insert here that The Charlotte Observer is a Newspaper in Charlotte, NC and is NOT Rosemond's personal journal. The language Soldat is using is incorrect. Rosemund may write editorials in the Observer but he does not own The Charlotte Observer. He then wrote in last June a parent's story (http://www.arcamax.com/parents/s-83154-865590) supposedly proving that he was right. I've seen this story in former GP forums, and Kotaku had a story about it. (http://kotaku.com/gaming/fud/videogames-are-nefarious-devices-178865.php)
And now, guess what ? He's back against video games !
On his website, he wrote a column recommending cold turkey against video game habit (http://rosemond.com/index.php?action=website-view&WebSiteID=389&WebPageID=13765) and reported a story of parents who had won over their teenage son's addiction. This column has been published under different titles on various newspapers and sites, including The Charlotte Observer. And once again, he talks about "nefarious devices".
Once you finish this column; go see some readers' reaction (go on his website, then click on "People are talking" link).
Well, anti-games still exist. Although this one can't beat Boris Johnson.
