All the hoopla about cops being shootable NPCs in video games like GTA and 25 to Life, one must wonder WHY anyone would be interested in "shooting cops" (in a virtual world).

Stories like this, and many others about corrupt criminal cops are a small part of it.

Sure, there are great, honorable, ethical cops. But they tend, as with most stereotypes, to be overshadowed by the bad ones. It's no wonder why some folks take the shooting of NPCs who look like cops and treat it as a form of letting off steam about real cops.

Doesn't justify the real shooting of cops, but it certain gives reason as to why cops CAN be seen in a bad light in books and games and TV/movies.

Thanks, fixed it. But, uh, it wasn't to CNN. It was to MSNBC.

The Milwaukee Police Department disciplined 13 officers after the beating. County prosecutors criminally charged three of them, but an all-white jury acquitted them of most charges in April.
Jude was imprisoned after his parole was revoked last November because of a domestic dispute with his mother.

I'm guessing maybe the police aren't treating Jude fairly in other matters as well?

Anyways, just goes to show cops get at least one freebie.

People not wanting cops to be targets in games sort of remind me of the government censorship back in the beginning years of the movies.

Like, how authority couldn't be put in bad light, no harm can be done to humans, and toliets couldn't be shown.

Psycho was the first movie to show a toliet on-screen.

Same with comic books, like how the US military could NOT be shown in a bad light, they couldn't be evil, course, then they got around it changing it to show the military was just doign their job to protect people.

Theory?

I'm a little piggie here's my snout. Oink oink oink, oink oink oink.

Seriously, if you want to meet the cream-of-the-crop in terms of pig-cops, go to West Orange, NJ. Real barnyard animals.
