Fortunately for them, there's a storm just off the East Coast, so they're getting some rain to help the fire go out. Other than that, they have to wait, because actually extinguishing the fire will just spread the chemicals. One of the reports I read says that quite a few animals and old people are getting sick from this.

Chemical fires can get pretty nasty. It all depends on what chemicals were on site. I think the place that went up had a lot of chlorine on site right? I'm glad to hear everyone that is in NC is ok.

Edit: The article I read didn't mention chlorine, but what I read was there isn't much better.

I know someone who was in a hotel in ***** Raleigh that night. They said they heard the explosion, but wasn't sure what it was. And they also said the building shook a bit, but they still had no idea what it was until much later when they saw the news.

It's a good thing you're ok Warren... You're the one who's supposed to bring the pizzas to all our parties on GP and we can't do without the pizza. :: snort ::
