Ok, I'm planning on soon getting a Nintendo DS, and I was planning on trading in my GBA SP toward the cost, but I do need a little inf ofirst, and it's mainly thise.
Does the DS play original and Gameboy color games? I ask becasue a good amount of my collestion is older Gameboy titles, and I dunno if I should trade in my SP and give those up along with it, or just keep the SP.
The old titles I do have, just for reference are
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2
Wario Land
Paperboy
Blaster master boy
Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening DX.
It doesn't. This has pissed me off to a certain degree, but yeah, that's how it is.

Damnit, now it'll be a debate if I should jsut keep the GBA or trade in the games right along with it.

Well... Depends on how you want to go around it. If you got a simple flashcart or something like that, you can easily get a gameboy/gameboy color emulator for it. Last I heard, compatability was pretty good. And I believe some flashcarts come with built in support for GB/C, too... So yeah. Depends on what you want to do with it.
I'd personally suggest getting the DS, due to the plethora of good games out now, and coming out soon.
Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin. Need I say more?

Wait a sec, flashcart? what's that? I mean, if it lets me play older GB games on it ,great, but, I never heard of it till now.

I really don't go for DS. An SM/Ruin build is much better for levelling and endgame.

I have a NDS NEO flash kit 512Mbit I just put a few GB-GBA romms on it but tis the most wishy washiest thing I have ever tried ,half the GBA games dont save half of them 2 or 3 just don't want to work...blarghhh either I need a new program for it or I need a complete new thing to run GB-GBA games on the DS...
you'd think some china outfit by now would have made a player attachment so you can play your games on it and not have to..ummm "rip" you games and make roms out of them...
is it me or is china becoming more and more the corporation's well behaved little brother...sometimes I wonder....where has the innovation gone to....what are they going to do charge you for GB-GBA games thru WII net and make you pay for a game you already own AGAIN?...never mind I answered my own Q........
